Laugfs Gas PLC, a major player in the liquefied petroleum (LP) gas sector, has opted to increase prices for its domestic LP gas cylinders. Effective today (January 01), consumers will witness a notable uptick in costs for both 12.5 kg and 5 kg cylinders.
The revised prices are as follows:
- 12.5 kg cylinder: Rs. 4,740 (increased by Rs. 755)
- 5 kg cylinder: Rs. 1,900 (increased by Rs. 305)
This adjustment in pricing aligns with the prevailing economic conditions, impacting household budgets and prompting consumers to reevaluate their expenditure on essential utilities.
It is noteworthy that Litro Gas, another key player in the LP gas market, has also communicated a similar decision to raise prices for its domestic LP gas cylinders, further underscoring the industry's response to evolving economic factors. The collective move by these major suppliers sparks discussions on the broader implications for consumers and the energy sector in the country.
