The Colombo Permanent Trial-at-Bar has fixed September 22 for the delivery of its verdict in the case against 25 accused persons charged with conspiring to carry out the Easter Sunday terror attacks and providing support and assistance to the perpetrators.

The decision was made by the three-member Trial-at-Bar bench after the hearing of the case, which was filed against the 25 accused in connection with the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.

The attacks, carried out on April 21, 2019, targeted churches and hotels in several parts of Sri Lanka, killing more than 250 people and injuring hundreds of others.

The three-member bench will announce its decision on the charges against the accused on September 22.
