Fuel distributors have agreed to the new pricing formula introduced by the Ceylon Petroleu

The new pricing formula, which is now in effect, aims to streamline the fuel pricing mechanism in the country. Minister Jayatissa confirmed that discussions with the distributors had been successful, paving the way for the formula’s implementation.

Additionally, the Minister revealed that another discussion is scheduled for March 18, 2025, to review and address proposals submitted by fuel distributors. These discussions will focus on refining the current pricing structure and ensuring its long-term sustainability.

The move comes as part of ongoing efforts to stabilize fuel prices and ensure a fair and transparent pricing system for both consumers and distributors across Sri Lanka.
