The first Shell-branded fuel station has opened at B.S. Cooray Filling Station in Ambathale, Sri Lanka. This follows the signing of a retail brand license agreement between Shell Brands International AG and RM Parks (Private) Limited.

The partnership, which includes Tristar Group and RM Parks Inc., aims to rebrand 150 fuel stations across Sri Lanka over the next 20 years.

Eugene Mayne, Group CEO of Tristar, emphasized the importance of global best practices and innovative energy solutions, while Jason Callison of RM Parks Inc. highlighted the legacy of Shell in sustainability and community development. U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, praised the initiative for stabilizing fuel availability, creating jobs, and supporting Sri Lanka’s economic growth.
