Intelligence reveals National People's Power victory factors
The state intelligence services have issued a warning to the government, highlighting the significant influence of overseas Sri Lankans and the Retired Tri-Forces Forum of the National People's Power (NPP) in the NPP's recent victory, NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake revealed today.
Speaking at a convention of the NPP's tri-forces forum in Colombo, Dissanayake stated that the intelligence services' report has urged the government to investigate these influential factors. The report identified the resurgence of overseas Sri Lankans and the organization of retired military personnel as critical elements that contributed to the NPP's success.
Dissanayake emphasized that the involvement of retired military personnel has been particularly strong in securing the NPP's victory, reinforcing the party's position and support base.
