National People’s Power launches election monitoring centre

Ahead of the upcoming Presidential Election, the National People’s Power (NPP) has announced the establishment of an Election Monitoring Centre. 

This development comes in response to today’s official declaration that the Presidential Election will take place on September 21.

The NPP’s newly formed Election Monitoring Centre will be overseen by an eight-member operational committee. 

Former Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Gamini Navaratne will lead the newly set up Election Monitoring Centre.
