SLPP to decide on Presidential candidate on July 29

The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will announce its candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election on Monday, July 29, party sources told ZiraDaily.

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka has issued a Gazette notification today, confirming the date of the 2024 Presidential Election and the timeline for accepting nominations. 

According to the notification, the Presidential Election will take place on September 21, 2024, with nominations being accepted on August 15, 2024.
