Renowned philosopher and academic, Professor Nalin de Silva, has passed away at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of intellectual prowess and diplomatic acumen.
Throughout his illustrious career, de Silva made significant contributions to various fields, including philosophy, academia, and diplomacy. As a distinguished professor in the Department of Mathematics and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Kelaniya, he played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of Sri Lanka.
