An Egyptian national, violating visa rules in Sri Lanka, was arrested by Emigration and Immigration officials, escaped detention, and was later apprehended while hiding in a lodge in the Kandy area.
The Egyptian, staying without a valid visa, fled from a detention center in Colombo on April 13th, where he was held pending deportation.
