On Friday, High Commissioner Santosh Jha held a significant meeting with Basil Rajapaksa, the founder of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), in Colombo.
The Indian High Commission, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), reported that the discussions between the two dignitaries were marked by warmth and addressed various topics of mutual interest, particularly focusing on political developments in the region.
During the meeting, which took place on the 26th, both parties exchanged views on pertinent issues, with a particular emphasis on fostering bilateral relations between India and Sri Lanka.
