The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered the remand of four individuals, including two Lieutenant Commanders of the Sri Lanka Navy, who were arrested in possession of a stock of drugs, until May 9.
The suspects were arrested by the Mulleriyawa Police and subsequently interrogated before being presented before Colombo Additional Magistrate Tharanga Mahawatte on the 26th of this month.
During the court proceedings, the police presented evidence and requested remand for the suspects, citing ongoing investigations into the matter.
The arrested individuals were found with 434 grams of ‘Ice’ (crystal methamphetamine) at the time of their arrest.
