President Ranil Wickremesinghe officially inaugurated the grand opening of the 'ITC Ratnadipa Colombo', a super-luxury hotel that marks a significant milestone in Sri Lanka's hospitality sector.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the unveiling of the hotel's standout feature, the 'AHASA ONE' sky bridge, the country's first-ever sky bridge connecting two towers soaring 100 meters above ground level.

Backed by an investment of nearly INR 3,000 crore from ITC's Hotel Group, a prominent luxury hotel chain in India, the Sri Lankan property under its subsidiary WelcomHotels Lanka promises a lavish experience with its reported 352 rooms. This multi-million dollar development, encompassing the Sapphire Residences alongside the luxurious ITC Ratnadipa hotel, is strategically situated in the heart of Colombo's prestigious oceanfront area, commanding breathtaking views of the Galle Face, the Indian Ocean, and the Beira Lake.

With its striking architectural design and the awe-inspiring AHASA ONE Sky Bridge, a unique engineering marvel suspended high above ground level, this development is already reshaping Colombo's skyline. The AHASA ONE Sky Bridge is expected to draw global attention as a standout feature in South Asia, elevating the city's stature as a world-class destination.
