The final rites of the late Deputy Minister and former UNP parliamentarian, Palitha Thewarapperuma, are set to take place this afternoon, April 19.
Following religious ceremonies at his residence in Yatadolawatta, Mathugama, the funeral procession will commence, culminating in his burial at the gravesite he had personally constructed earlier.
Thewarapperuma, who previously served as the Member of Parliament for the Kalutara District, tragically passed away at the age of 64 on Tuesday, April 16, due to electrocution.
