Four murders have been reported in the past 48 hours, ending at 06:00 am today, according to the Police.
A 23-year-old man, attempting to mediate a dispute, was fatally stabbed in Galewala this morning. He succumbed to his injuries at Galewala Hospital.
In another incident, a 21-year-old man was killed in Hakmana by his uncle during an altercation over an old feud. The suspect has fled the area.
Additionally, a 37-year-old man was fatally attacked with a knife and scissors in Elayapaththuwa during a heated argument among individuals consuming alcohol. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
In Serunuwara, a 41-year-old man was murdered last night due to an extramarital affair, allegedly by the woman's husband. The suspect, a 30-year-old resident of Serunuwara, is being pursued by Serunuwara Police.
