The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed a significant milestone on Wednesday (10) as the All Share Price Index (ASPI) surpassed the 12,000-point threshold at the close of trading.
This marks the first time the ASPI has breached the 12,000-point mark since February 21, 2022.
Closing at 12,033.10 points, the ASPI recorded a notable increase of 0.59%, equivalent to 70.61 points, compared to the previous day's trading. The day saw robust activity, with over 86 million shares exchanged, resulting in a market turnover of Rs. 2.96 billion.
Furthermore, the S&P SL20 also experienced gains, closing at 3,580.64 points, up by 0.95% (33.81 points) from the previous day's trading session.
