IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon said that extremist terrorist attacks can happen at any time in the world and that need to pay attention to it.
Therefore, the IGP, while addressing an event held at the Minister's Security Division, said that attention should be focused on VIPs' security and national security.
"Extremist and terrorist attacks are happening in the world in different ways. They happen all over the world at unexpected times. That is what extremist terrorist acts are. That is the nature of the world, and people feel it. Sometimes we feel that we don't care enough about security," he said.
The IGP said that there are people who try to provoke the public by attacking political, religious, and cultural things.
