In a tragic incident, a third-year student from the Law Faculty of Peradeniya University lost his life after being hit by a train in the Penideniya area.
Police said the victim, hailing from Wadduwa, was pursuing his studies in the prestigious Law Faculty at the university.
According to reports, the unfortunate accident occurred while the student was walking along the railway tracks with headphones on, leading to a collision with the Nawalapitiya-Kandy train.
