The tournament was contested by a number of boxers from Naval Commands. The best boxer (men) of the tournament was Ordinary Seaman SPWGCV Rathnasiri from the Afloat Command, contested in 51kg weight class. Meanwhile, Writer WASK Ayaskantha from the Training Command, contested in 80kg weight class, was the best loser (men) of the tournament.
Sri Lanka NavyIn the women's category, Woman Leading Physical Training Instructor SIH De Silva from the Western Naval Command, contested in 75kg weight class, was adjudged the best boxer (women) and Sub Lieutenant RMT Sewwandi, contested in 48kg weight class, became the best loser (women).
Sri Lanka NavyThe prize awarding ceremony of the tournament was held under the patronage of Director General Personnel Rear Admiral Damian Fernando. The Chairmen Navy Boxing, Commander MU Kumarathunga and a group of officers and sailors from the Western Naval Command were also present on this occasion.
