In a move that will bring relief to households across the country, Litro Gas, one of Sri Lanka's leading LP gas suppliers, has announced that it will not be raising prices this month. The decision comes as the country gears up for the upcoming festive season.
Speaking about the decision, Litro Gas Chairman, Muditha Peiris, explained that although international price fluctuations and the dollar exchange rate have put pressure on domestic LP gas prices, the company has decided to hold off on any increase for now.
"We understand the importance of the festive season for our customers, and we want to ensure that they can enjoy this time without any additional financial burden," Peiris stated.
This means that the price of a 12.5 kg domestic gas refill will remain unchanged at Rs. 3,565. This will come as welcome news for households, who rely heavily on LP gas for cooking and other domestic purposes.
Peiris also emphasized that Litro Gas will continue to monitor the market conditions closely and make any necessary adjustments in the future
