The RDA said reduced visibility caused by heavy cloud cover, rain and fog in several areas has significantly increased driving risks, particularly on high-speed road networks.
Drivers have been advised to use headlights during daytime travel to improve visibility for both themselves and other road users, especially under low-light and foggy conditions.
The authority further stressed the importance of maintaining safe speeds—particularly within the 60 km/h range where applicable—and ensuring adequate distance between vehicles to reduce the risk of collisions.
Motorists have also been cautioned against sudden braking at high speeds, with the RDA warning that such actions on wet and slippery surfaces could lead to serious accidents.
