Regarding the National Fuel Pass (QR) system, the Managing Director highlighted that major technical hurdles have been successfully addressed. Previously, many users faced difficulties registering due to issues with mobile number ownership or mismatches with previous owners. However, a significant surge in registrations was observed recently, with over 55,000 new users signing up within a single night. The CPC emphasized that the "one ID, one mobile number, one vehicle" rule remains strictly in place to ensure fair distribution.
Filling stations across the island have been issued strict instructions to verify QR codes and adhere to the "Odd/Even" number plate system based on the calendar date. Addressing concerns about quota balances, the CPC clarified that some users might still see old data, but the system is scheduled for a complete refresh this Saturday to align with current quotas. For users experiencing further difficulties, the government’s 1919 hotline is now fully operational and ready to provide technical support.
Furthermore, the Managing Director cleared the air regarding fuel for industrial purposes, stating that there are no restrictions on supply for the industrial sector. He explained that some delays in the past were caused by companies placing bulk orders that far exceeded their monthly averages. However, he confirmed that all industrial requirements are now being met systematically through the CPC's marketing division and regional managers, ensuring that the country’s economic activities continue without hindrance.
