During the meeting, both sides discussed avenues to further strengthen bilateral relations between the United States and Sri Lanka.
President Dissanayake also briefed the U.S. delegation on Sri Lanka’s stance regarding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as well as the challenges faced by the country in light of recent developments.
Also present at the meeting were Secretary to the President Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake; Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Dr Harshana Suriyapperuma; Senior Economic Adviser to the President Mr Duminda Hulangamuwa; and Senior Additional Secretary to the President Mr Roshan Gamage, along with members of Mr. Gor’s delegation.
