The tournament officially began in Guwahati, India, on 30 September, and this is the first time Sri Lanka is hosting part of the global event. According to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), entry to all World Cup matches in Sri Lanka will be free of charge, with stadium gates opening at 1 p.m. on match days.
This is the 13th edition of the Women’s One Day World Cup, which runs until 2 November. A total of eight teams are participating, with matches spread across four venues in India and one in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is scheduled to play seven group matches in total, five of which will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium, while the remaining two will be hosted in India.
