During the first 27 days of July alone, 173,909 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka. The highest single-day arrival for the month was recorded on July 26, with 7,579 tourists entering the country on that day.

In comparison, during the same period last year (January to July 2024), the total number of tourist arrivals stood at 1,198,059, indicating a notable year-on-year increase in inbound tourism.

The SLTDA remains optimistic that this upward trend will continue throughout the remainder of the year, boosting the country’s tourism industry and economy.
