The 8th meeting of the European Union–Sri Lanka Working Group on Governance, Rule of Law, and Human Rights was successfully held in Colombo under the framework of the EU–Sri Lanka Joint Commission.

The meeting provided a platform for constructive dialogue on a wide range of important topics including the fight against corruption, protection of human rights, labor rights, minority rights, women's and children's rights, and the prevention of discrimination based on sexual orientation.
