Speaker Asoka Ranwala has resigned following controversy over his academic qualifications. The resignation was announced earlier this evening (December 13).
In his official statement, Ranwala denied making false claims but admitted he could not currently provide some of his academic documents.
However, he stated that he’ll provide relevant certificates and documents soon.
