Sri Lanka cricketer Dinesh Chandimal has been taken to hospital for a precautionary scan after sustaining an injury during the first Test against India.
Chandimal injured his right shoulder and neck while diving in an attempt to stop a boundary during the first session of Day 4.
He was assessed on the field by the Sri Lankan team physiotherapist and doctor before being taken to hospital for further examination.
The scan is being carried out as a precaution, with further updates on Chandimal’s condition expected after the results are available.
