The Foreign Ministry stated that threats to nuclear infrastructure could result in severe consequences for civilian safety as well as regional stability.
Sri Lanka also urged all parties involved in the conflict to act with restraint and to pursue dialogue and diplomatic solutions amid escalating tensions in the region.
The statement was issued against the backdrop of growing concerns over instability in the Middle East and its possible implications for regional security and civilian populations.
