The National System Operator (NSO) has emphasised that no increase in electricity tariffs is necessary for the period from October to December 2026.
This was communicated at a stakeholder consultation meeting held today (November 5) on the proposed electricity tariff revision for the fourth quarter of 2026.
The NSO said its position was based on the current water storage levels in reservoirs and forecasts of above-average rainfall under the prevailing El Niño weather conditions.
