His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended a luncheon hosted in his honour by His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Cabinet Ministers and other senior officials from both the Maldivian and Pakistani governments were also in attendance at the luncheon.
During the luncheon, the leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for further collaboration between the two countries. They reflected on the longstanding ties of friendship between the Maldives and Pakistan, and reaffirmed their commitment to working together in areas of mutual interest.
The President and First Lady are currently on a State Visit to Pakistan from 20 to 22 October 2026, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
