The Sri Lanka Navy has taken into custody a vessel carrying a stock of suspected narcotic drugs during a special operation in the Kusumanthurai Beach area of Madagal, Jaffna, in the early hours of today (27). The operation was conducted in the Kusumanthurai Beach area in the North, where naval personnel intercepted and seized the vessel along with the suspected drugs.
Further investigations are underway to determine the type and quantity of the narcotics and identify those involved.
