A high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates, including the Head of Investments at the Personal Office of the UAE Vice President, met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya at Parliament on September 24.
Discussions focused on identifying priorities and potential development opportunities in the technical and vocational education sectors of both countries.
Particular attention was given to the importance of providing Sri Lankan youth with practical and high-quality technical education to meet the growing global demand for skilled workers.
The UAE delegation expressed its willingness to support skills development among Sri Lankan youth and create more employment opportunities for skilled Sri Lankan workers.
The delegation also highlighted the importance of aligning training programmes with standards recognised by the United Arab Emirates, which could help Sri Lankan workers access employment opportunities in the UAE and other international markets.
