The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued a Level 3 (Red) Landslide Early Warning for several areas in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts amid continued heavy rainfall.
Authorities have advised residents in the affected areas to evacuate if the rainfall persists to reduce the risk of landslides.
In Kandy District, the warning covers the Pasbage Korale Divisional Secretariat Division.
In Nuwara Eliya District, the warning applies to the Kotmale West, Kotmale East, Ambagamuwa and Norwood Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
