The low-level atmospheric disturbance is moving away from Sri Lanka. Therefore, its influence is expected to gradually decrease.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces. Fairly heavy falls about 75 mm are likely at some places.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Eastern and North central provinces and in Mullaittivu district after 1.00 p.m. 

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Condition of Rain:

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Negombo to Hambanthota via Colombo and Galle.  Showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in the other sea areas during the evening or night.

Winds:

Winds will be South-westerly or Variable. Wind speed will be (25-35) kmph. 

Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota.

State of Sea:

The sea areas off the coast extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota will be fairly rough at times. 

Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
