Sri Lanka's President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, is set to meet with all political party leaders tomorrow, April 10, to discuss the impact of the recently imposed "unusual" US tariffs on Sri Lankan exports.

The Leader of the House, Minister Bimal Rathnayake, confirmed the meeting, stating that the President will engage with the leaders of 12 opposition parties, who have requested this discussion to address the concerns surrounding the tariffs.

Minister Rathnayake made the announcement via a post on 'X,' emphasizing the urgency of the situation as the tariffs threaten to affect Sri Lanka's trade relations with the United States. The meeting aims to explore potential strategies and solutions to mitigate the economic impact of these tariffs on the country's export sector.
