National anti-corruption action plan 2025-2029 to be launched today

The new action plan is designed to strengthen anti-corruption institutions, promote transparency, and ensure stricter enforcement of anti-corruption laws across various sectors. As part of this initiative, President Dissanayake emphasized the importance of a collective effort from all citizens, government officials, and institutions to tackle the issue of corruption that has long plagued the country.
To further enhance public participation in the anti-corruption drive, a new hotline number, 1954, has been introduced for citizens to report any instances of bribery and corruption directly to the Bribery Commission. This move is aimed at empowering the public to take an active role in ensuring accountability and justice.
The launch of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2025-2029 marks a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s ongoing commitment to fostering a clean, ethical, and transparent government system for the benefit of all citizens.
