
Parliament set to convene at 9:30 am today

From 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., members will have the opportunity to ask questions of the Prime Minister. Following this, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the floor will be open for questions that require oral answers.
Between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., questions under Standing Order 27(2) will be addressed. The day’s proceedings will then shift to the Second Reading Debate of the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, set to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During this time, members will discuss the proposed amendments to the VAT legislation, a topic of significant importance.
Additionally, 17 annual reports from various statutory bodies will be presented for approval during the course of the debate.
The session will conclude with a motion moved by the opposition, calling for the House to adjourn from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This motion will be debated following the completion of the legislative discussions.
