Train Services Disrupted on Upcountry Railway Line Due to Rockfall

The Railway Department has confirmed that the incident occurred as a result of heavy rainfall in the area, leading to rocks tumbling onto the tracks.

A spokesperson from the Railway Department stated that immediate efforts are underway to clear the debris. Railway employees, along with officers from the Sri Lankan Army, have been deployed to remove the large rocks blocking the tracks.
