In terms of districts, Gampaha holds the highest population with 2,433,685 residents, closely followed by Colombo with 2,374,461 people.
The census data also reveals that Sri Lanka's population growth rate between 2012 and 2014 stood at 0.5 percent annually. This consistent increase underscores the country's demographic trends over the last decade.
