IndiGo launches flight service between Tiruchi and Jaffna

The inaugural flight was celebrated with a special ceremony attended by Indian Deputy Consul General Sai Murali.
Operated with a 78-seater ATR72 aircraft, the new route is designed to foster greater tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between South India and Sri Lanka's Northern Province. This move is expected to strengthen ties between the two regions and offer increased travel options for passengers.
With the addition of this route, IndiGo now operates 57 weekly flights to Sri Lanka from five major Indian cities, enhancing travel opportunities and supporting the growing demand for air travel between India and Sri Lanka.
The Tiruchirappalli-Jaffna flight is part of IndiGo's continued efforts to improve regional connectivity and contribute to the development of tourism and commerce in both countries.
