Earlier, the Election Commission had clarified that completed applications must be submitted to District Returning Officers through the respective District Election Offices by August 5.
However, to be considered valid, the applications must be physically received by the respective District Election Offices before the midnight deadline today.
The Election Commission emphasized that simply mailing the application by post today will not suffice. Applications delivered after the deadline will not be accepted, ensuring that only those received within the specified time frame are processed.
Voters who wish to cast their vote by post are urged to ensure that their applications are submitted promptly to meet the deadline.
