In a thrilling contest at the SSC Grounds, S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia emerged victorious in the 146th edition of the prestigious "Battle of the Blues" against Royal College, Colombo.

The Thomians clinched the win by 5 wickets to regain the coveted shield after a gap of six years.

The match saw Royal College post a strong total of 319/7 in their first innings, with S. Thomas' College responding with 302 all out. In the second innings, Royal College was restricted to 215/8, setting a challenging target for the Thomians. 

However, S. Thomas' College successfully chased down the target, reaching 233/5 in their second innings to seal the victory.

This win marks a significant achievement for S. Thomas’ College, as they reclaim the prestigious shield after six years, adding another remarkable chapter to their storied cricketing history. The match was closely contested, with both teams showcasing outstanding skill and determination throughout the encounter.
