Sri Lanka Commemorates IPKF War Heroes at Palaly

The fallen war heroes of the Indian Peacekeeping Force (IPKF), who fought against LTTE terrorists from 1987 to 1990 in Sri Lanka, were commemorated.
Their sacrifices remembered, at the Indian Peacekeeping Force Monument in Palaly on 26th January coinciding with India’s Republic Day.

Mr Shri Sai Murali S, Consul General of India to Sri Lanka in Jaffna, and Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), paid tribute to the fallen IPKF war heroes by placing floral wreaths at the monument during the brief ceremony.
