Special Train Services for Post-Election Commuters

The Department of Railways has introduced special train services today (November 17) and tomorrow (November 18) to accommodate commuters returning to work after the 2024 General Election leave and the long weekend.
In addition to regular train schedules, seven special trains will operate on key routes. These include services between Colombo Fort and Badulla, Badulla and Colombo Fort, Kandy and Colombo Fort, as well as Beliatta and Colombo Fort.
Additional services are also planned for routes from Colombo Fort to Hikkaduwa, Matara to Colombo Fort, and Galle to Colombo Fort.
The Department urges commuters to make use of these special services for convenient travel during this period.
