The National People's Power (NPP) held a special press conference today (November 15) at their party office in Battaramulla, following their resounding victory in the 2024 Parliamentary Election. Several key members of the NPP addressed the media, highlighting the immense responsibility entrusted to them by the people.
“We deeply understand the weight of the mandate the people have given us,” the NPP leaders emphasized, expressing gratitude to voters for trusting their vision despite facing baseless criticism from traditional politicians.
Special appreciation was extended to the public in the Northern and Eastern provinces for recognizing the NPP’s efforts to rebuild the nation and contributing to their historic victory, specially in the northern regions. The party called this support a sign of hope for national unity and reconciliation.
In a strong message of inclusivity, the NPP urged all Sri Lankans to set aside racial and religious divisions and work together to rebuild the country. “Let us rise as Sri Lankans, united in our goal of creating a prosperous future for all,” the leaders said.
The NPP reiterated their commitment to fulfilling their campaign promises and emphasized that the real work begins now, as they aim to bring meaningful change to Sri Lanka.
