As of 8 a.m., the National People's Power (NPP) maintains a significant lead in the general election, securing 5,913,707 votes with 52 seats. The party is currently 61 seats short of the majority needed to govern.

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) trails with 18.49% of the vote, totaling 1,766,327 votes and holding 13 seats. The New Democratic Front (NDF) has gained 4.45% (425,516 votes) with 2 seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) follows closely with 3.22% (307,350 votes), also securing 2 seats.

Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) has 1.83% of the votes, resulting in 1 seat, while Sarvajana Balaya (SB) holds 1.61% with no seats won. The United Democratic Voice (UDV), with 0.75% of the votes, has yet to secure any seats.
