2 Dead, 40 Injured in Bus Accident in Matale

A tragic bus accident occurred the (14th) in the Laggala Elawana Kanda area of Matale, when the bus veered off the road and plunged into a precipice. As a result of the crash, 2 people lost their lives, and 40 others were injured and have been hospitalized.
Currently, rescue operations are underway as three more individuals remain trapped inside the bus. Local residents, along with the military and police, are working together in a major effort to extricate the victims.
