The Election Commission has released the postal vote results for Galle District in the 2024 General Election. National People's Power (NPP) secured the highest number of postal votes, totaling 32,296 votes, which is 79.08% of the district's postal ballots.
The breakdown of postal votes is as follows:
National People’s Power (NPP) – 32,296 (79.08%)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – 3,523 (8.63%)
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 1,964 (4.81%)
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 1,846 (4.52%)
In the 2024 Presidential Election, NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake also led the postal votes in Galle District, receiving 25,892 votes, or 64.5% of the postal votes.
