This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with key government agencies, including the Department of Meteorology, the Department of Irrigation, the National Building Research Organization, the Tri-Forces, and the Police.

In related news, the Department of Meteorology has issued a warning for severe thundershowers and lightning, particularly in the Central, Uva, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces.

These weather conditions are expected to worsen in the evening and night hours. An advisory has also been issued for the Kalutara and Kurunegala districts, cautioning residents about the likelihood of severe lightning and thundershowers.

The public is urged to stay alert and report any emergencies to the hotlines immediately to ensure prompt response and safety.
