The Ministry of Education has launched an investigation into the inclusion of questions about a political party in an Advanced Level term paper at a school in Kalutara district.

The term exam paper, prepared by the school for A-level students, reportedly contained five questions referencing a specific political party, raising concerns about political bias in education materials.

Education Secretary Thilaka Jayasundara confirmed that a formal inquiry has been ordered to look into the matter. The Ministry aims to ensure that educational content remains neutral and free from political influence and will assess any lapses in oversight that may have led to this incident.
